Duty Support is a gameplay feature in Last Fantasy Fourteen that allows players to run select chief scenario duties with a party of allied NPCs, with the ability to revisit these dungeons and level upward NPC avatars in the Trust (フェイス, Feisu ?, lit. Organized religion) arrangement.
While originally only covering Shadowbringers and later Endwalker duties, plans are in place to aggrandize the system to all main scenario dungeons and 4-actor trials during Endwalker'south patch cycle. Support for original duties from A Realm Reborn was added in patch 6.1, with further A Realm Reborn duties planned for patch half dozen.2, Heavensward duties in patch six.three, and Stormblood duties in patch six.five.

Overview [ ]
Interface when swapping party members.
The Duty Back up system functions similarly to Adventurer Squadrons, sharing various elements. Players can enter dungeons with their NPC allies as an alternative to using the Duty Finder, useful for bypassing queue times, fighting alongside master scenario allies, and leveling up jobs in a solo player setting. Duty Support NPCs volition follow the player, respawning shut to them if separated, and the political party volition automatically return to the entrance if the player is KO'd. Otherwise, healers volition Swiftcast heighten spells in battle and hardcast outside of battle. Unlike Adventurer Squadrons, there are no player-given orders, and Duty Support NPCs will acknowledge boss mechanics. They are also capable of reviving healers with Phoenix Downs outside of battle, while DPS Duty Back up members tin use Limit Breaks. As when running a dungeon solo, treasure coffers have fewer rewards that are automatically given to the player, and some enemies won't drop items.
Duty Support NPCs practice not apply MP and are immune to many negative status effects, including the standard Vulnerability Upwards debuff inflicted by failed mechanics in boss fights, as well as Weakness/Brink of Decease in the outcome that they are KO'd and need to be revived. The AI may too solve mechanics before they are properly communicated to the role player. When confronting enemies, Duty Support NPCs will refrain from disengaging until they are all dispatched, though the role player may pull additional enemies themselves at the risk of being overwhelmed. While the AI is able to recoup for whatever perceived loss of DPS, they are balanced around the expectation that a run will take around 25 minutes, with more time potentially added depending on player KOs and idle time, in comparison to the more standard 15 to 20 minutes a run with a party of respectable players should take.
As
The Mothercrystal is a trial instead of a dungeon, the rules for running as a Duty Support are tweaked slightly. The fight is not significantly slower than it would be with a party of players, and the player gets three lives before the fight is reset, reviving automatically without punishment. The amount of times that a player may die before resetting is increased afterward every reset. This fight is non allowed to exist played in Avatar mode.
The Duty Support system becomes available upon unlocking
Sastasha, and while the Trust system becomes available upon completing the main scenario quest
Shadowbringers. Players can enter dungeons using the Duty Support menu or by speaking to NPCs that accompanied them to the archway. These NPCs will comprehend all necessary roles for the party composition of one tank, ane healer, and two DPS. The NPCs will e'er be at the minimum level requirement for the dungeon. Upon completing the quest a dungeon is introduced in, it can be run afterwards with a party of NPC avatars using the Trust system.
Trust [ ]
The Trust organization is unlocked by completing
Shadowbringers containing all the dungeons from patch 5.0's main scenario, with afterward dungeons being added afterwards completing the quest that unlocks them. This system allows the role player to revisit supported duties with Avatars of Duty Support NPCs. Avatars tin exist used in all Trust-uniform dungeons regardless of their absenteeism in the main scenario. While Duty Support NPCs are normally at the required level of a duty, the initially available Trust Avatars offset at level 71 and must be leveled up to participate in further duties, though Avatars acquired afterward first at higher levels. Avatars earn a fixed corporeality of experience for completing a duty, with more than EXP awarded if they are below level 80. Upon reaching level 80, NPCs can accept glamours practical to them depicting previous outfits. Some other glamour is unlocked for avatars that achieve level xc.
Leveling all avatars to 80 rewards the achievement
Bound by Organized religion and the title "Trusted Friend", and leveling all avatars to 90 rewards the achievement
Bound past Hope and the title "The 7th Dawn".
All-Rounders [ ]
Sure characters can perform in multiple roles, granting the player some flexibility in how they arrange their party. G'raha Tia and Venat are both All-Rounders, allowing them to fill the role of tank, healer, or DPS. Emet-Selch's subject of the Third Seat allows him to perform as a tank or DPS. Urianger can perform as either a healer or a DPS, merely only during the trial
The Mothercrystal; he is otherwise locked into the healer role.
When adding a character with multiple roles to the political party, they will occupy the highest listed political party slot they are allowed to; the club is the aforementioned as the player's political party list sorting. All-rounders volition exist automatically barred from a role if having them bring together as that role would make party limerick incommunicable (e.yard. if G'raha is the only bachelor tank, and the player themselves is not a tank, so the game will force 1000'raha to join the political party as a Paladin).
